| WHILE many trees seem to persist in hanging on to their leaves until the last possible moment as winter approaches, the change in the season is unmistakable by the contrast of stark, vivid branches and a myriad of colours. The mighty oak on the left is lit by the crisp sunset, which also heightens the golden hues in the hedgerow below. Now the field lies fallow, ready for next spring and the plough. |
