THERE was a crooked house!
It's interesting how a lovely, ornate house like the one on the right, can be turned into something resembling a spooky mansion, just in the reflection of water. Or as in this case - Amsterdam canal water.
Forgive me for not knowing the actual name of the building, but it is not far from the Rijksmuseum in the city, which houses many of Van Gogh's masterpieces.
Amsterdam could aptly be renamed Bike City, as I've never seen so many whizzing to and fro. On a short visit to the place, I was nearly mowed down by riders on more than one occasion. Better than by a car I suppose!
It is actually a lovely, vibrant place with lots of history and interesting architecture. Well worth a visit. I did have a look at the Red Light district, but aren't featuring any photos of the wares on offer there, as it isn't that sort of website!
'FANTASY HOUSE' IN AN
AMSTERDAM CANAL
To someone familiar with car parks, a bike park like this comes as a surprise. Meanwhile the cars and vans line the canals (right).
