| This is a macro shot of a garden beech hedging plant in the early spring sunshine. The advantage of these beeches is that the leaves turn a lovely crisp golden colour in late autumn and are retained until spring, rather than dropping off through the winter. By the end of April the old leaves are gone and replaced by wonderful new growth, which you can see by clicking here. |
