| This is the macro photograph of a lilac in blossom in my garden. The beautiful colour is always a welcome sign of spring, and only a pity that it's flowering season lasts for such a short time. The flower also inspired songwriter Ivor Novello to compose the famous wartime song 'We'll Gather Lilacs in the Spring Again', for his 1945 show Perchance to Dream. |
